Patio Water fountain ideas
A well-designed patio or yard comes with many benefits. It provides you with an opportunity to put a personal touch on an important part of your home, making both your family and visitors feel more comfortable in the outdoors. If you decide to sell your house, your patio could appeal to potential buyers, adding more value to the property.
A great patio comes with many benefits providing opportunity to add your personal touch to an important part of your home. Americans spend 87% of their time indoors and an additional 6% in an enclosed vehicle on average. Indoor generation found that 77% of Americans feel that breathing indoor air isn’t worse than breathing outdoor air, yet 80% of Americans aren’t aware that indoor air can be 5 times more polluted than indoor air.
That being said, do yourself a favor and bring the outdoors to your patio and enjoy your private time. Have you ever taken a trip up to the mountains and found once you’ve arrived, so have 30% of the population? I have done that many times, searching for that private picnic area I used to go to when I was younger, only to see many people there and now it’s not so private.
Case in hand, I decided to create a beautiful private oasis of my own on my outdoor patio. It’s my “go to” place for peace and relaxation in the morning with a cup of coffee. I especially enjoy in the evenings, we use the hanging solar lights and some floor lighting placed in the perfect spots as they light up the flowers (Jasmin Tree’s have a sweet and wonderful scent when the wind blows your way) at night.

Your very own fountain will make your garden a charming, relaxing place to spend time. It’s a simple pleasure to sit beside a fountain and enjoy the soothing sound of running water.
Some outdoor water fountains require knowledge of plumbing and can take a while to set up. If you’re like me, you want it up and running quickly. You want to purchase a waterfall that has the pump included so it will be easy and simple to set up.
Material Best suited for for outdoor water functions are Polyresin or polystone. They’re durable so you can keep them outdoors all year-round but light enough to move and relocate while you find that perfect spot.
You’re encouraged to put vinegar in the water fountain, it’ll actually kill algae and keep your fountain clean. Mix 1/2 cup of white vinegar to a gallon of warm water. If you want to use bleach, you can add 1/4 cup to every 5 gallons of water.
NOTE: If the birds are cming around to drink the water, I wouldn’t recommend using bleach to clean the fountain. To eliminate and prevent algae growth, you should consider utilizing an organic algae control. These products age available in liquid form and do not contain any harmful chemicals.
NOTE Continued: For a 500-gallon fountain, you will need to add 1-1/3 ounces of algae control liquid. If algae are present in your fountain, you should repeat the process two more times, leaving three days between each treatment. Do not exceed the maximum of three doses. Once the full treatment is completed, you will need to clean your fountain thoroughly. Recommend Algaecide & Clarifier

If your pump is louder than the soothing sounds of your fountain, it’s because you don’t have enough water in the pump.
